I was just wondering if there are any GGA member meetings in the Savannah area. I looked at the event calendar, but everything is around Atlanta. I am a rookie at this, starting just a week ago, and thought I might like to attend something where more experienced Cachers could share some knowledge.

The GGA has held its November meeting in the Savannah area for each of the last two years.

Most meetings are held in and around the Atlanta area because that's where the majority of cachers are. But in the recent years meetings are now held all over the state From Rome to Macon to Albany. As Tarvol said the Novemember meeting is normally in Savannah. Keep looking at the event pages, I know that when I lived in Savannah last year there were several geocaching meetings and socials(non-GGA).

Also check the South Carolina geocaching page. The SCGA occasionally has meetings an hour or so outside of Savannah.
