The event date is 4/29, which is a Saturday. I would assume the campout would be that night, with the fun and games preceeding it. Kyle, you'll probably have to find your own fun Friday.
I'll be there too. Actually Planned on some Friday Nighters showing up. I hope to get there earlier than I did for the Fall Campout. I have a new tent and I'm not sure I can put that one up in the dark.
I've decided to have a campout this weekend in my backyard to test the new tent out. I know my neighbors are going to think I'm cracked more than usual. Heck, It'll give 'em something new to talk about. I'll try to take pictures.

Carol and I may be able to make it. What's the location like? Will this be "car camping" where we can truck in coleman stoves and the like, or will we have to backpack in? Thanks! ~erik~
we are in the process of reserving agroup-camping area that accommodates a maximum of 25 people. for friday April, 28th and saturday night the 29th.
Me and a few others are planning a hike up Blood Mountain Saturday morning about 11nish. We will pack a small lunch as this will a 4 hour hike for us old timers. Please join us if you like mountain hiking. There is a cache on the summit.

The hike from Winfield-Scott to Blood Mountain, is not a real doozy, the problem is that it is all uphill, all the way to Blood Mountain. But at least its all downhill on the way back .

I prefer that type, a trail that is down hill as you go and up hill on the way back can fool you. Also since geocaching got me to hiking again, I realized some trails are up hill both ways. That is because the downhills don't count. So an in and out hike that goes over a mountain, or thru a gorge, is up hill both ways.

Seems that everytime I get all excited about Lacy Campouts big oil ,decides to raise gas to insane rates. Oh, well I will still be there, with a few extra dollars missing though.
