Thought I would give you all advance notice on a cache I placed today and submitted for approval. It should take TPTB a few days to approve so be on the lookout.

"Lure Exchange" GCHH6Y

This cache is a fishing lure exchange located off of Hwy 112 along a large creek in the middle of nowhere GA. It is loaded up w/ a bunch of new fishing lures and a TB I got while in Atlanta at the last GGA meeting. The terrain and difficulty is rated at 3/3. Currently it is probably not that hard but will progressivly get harder as the summer aproaches. If you enjoyed "The Night Sky" this one should be a real treat.

I haven't counted lately but if we used Dublin as the center there has to be approx 15 caches within a 30 or 40 mile radius. We are starting to get a really good geocaching niche area down here around Dublin.

I find that during working hours (right after lunch), sometimes they get approved in less than 30 minutes!

Unfortunatly I find myself caching is less than perfect weather most of the time. I save the nice days for sitting inside and playing on the puter --- go figure.

Yesterday it drizzled on me and Hawke all day yet we managed to find 2 caches, place 1 cache, and spot out 2 locations for future caches. Wink

I thought I was giving two or three days notice but when it got approved in an hour there went the advance notice Big Grin No complaints on my end.

Keep an eye on this one. It is sort of off the beaten path so unless one of the other 3 close by local cachers go for it today it still might be a FTF next weekend.

I didn't even know this forum topic was going until just now, so I didn't know anyone else wanted the FTF. If I had of known, I would have left it for you... maybe.

Anyway, I drive by this spot 10 times a week, so I couldn't resist at least making an attempt for it last night on my way home from work. Let me tell you, even though I was able to find it after about 20 minutes, this one is going to be a challenge even in the daylight. Don't try it at night if you aren't REALLY comfortable in the woods at night. I, personally, wouldn't try it at night during warm weather. And in either event, be it day or night, keep in mind that there are wild hogs in this area and they are not always predictable creatures.

Oh yeah, don't wait until the leaves are back on the trees!

Yea Right --- Your the FTF King around here. The only reason why I have a FTF is that it was your cache. --- LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed the hunt Billy. I do pity those who try this one in the middle of the summer.

I wouldn't go that far. The only reason I have as many as I do is because when I first started, there was only me and Bob doing this. I was finding his and he was finding mine. Now, though, you keep putting caches in my way... they happen to be inbetween where I work and where I live! LOL! Keep it up though, I like it!

Congrats to btouch and yakfisher! Each scored a FTF on my two most recent caches. It would seem that they passed each other on the streets in Vidalia on Saturday.

With 18 or so caches hidden by 4 cachers in the area around Dublin and Vidalia, we are finally getting a few dots on the map. We have attracted some of the other cacher as they pass through between Macon and Savannah. So, ya'll come and enjoy!

Bob
