Hidden: 10/14/2003

Difficulty: *** Terrain: *1/2

This cache was originally placed as a temporary micro for the Second Annual Lacy Caching Event. Everyone seemed to enjoy the hunt so much, that I decided to make it a permanent cache. Those with sharp eyes will be rewarded with a Smiley Face.

The cache container is a 35mm canister. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN/PENCIL to sign log.

After the hunt, check out the following coordinates for a lovely view of the creek:

Here is a list & order of the folks who found the cache at the picnic.

It's not my cache, so I'm not really sure what the "proper" thing to do here is. I called Yo-yo and gave him notice of section J (The North Fulton Section) of the Atlanta paper today. But he is about to depart on a vacation.
I would suggest that if someone who is nearby and knows what to look for would be kind enough to take a peek to see if everything is okay, I'm sure Yo-yo would be grateful. If there is a problem, it might be advisable to make a note on the cache page until he can fix it.

Any suggestions?

I'm hoping my Cliffhanger micro cache will go unnoticed by the clean-up crew. I'm not sure when the clean-up is suppose to take place or if it already has been done. Worst case, I'll simply replace the micro container if it's taken.

Thanks sparc77 for the posting!

Does that answer your question about if it already has been done?

The link to the AJC didn't open for me, but I'm willing to bet that the cleanup crew didn't find the cache under the cliff. They may have removed that cliff though. (you had to have been there to understand)

LOL, it took me half an hour to find it ... and I was looking for it! If one of that crew finds it, we should induct them into the GGA Hall of Fame as an honorary geocacher.

I stopped by today to check on my Cliffhanger micro and it looks like it passed the Cleanup Test with flying colors. It's still in it's hiding place and in good shape.

I saw a few signs of graffiti cleanup, but not as much as I expected. The volunteers were only able to make a small dent in the graffiti. There is STILL quite a bit left.

ENJOY the HUNT!

The graffiti was still there? Roll Eyes

So I look at the photo that was posted and envision all these people showing up to have thier photo taken as they work, then 10 minutes after the camera is gone, so are the people.
