Question to the enlightened old-timers on here...
When planning the route used in the multi-cache for HISTORICAL purposes, should one stick to the route that follows the historical path used, or, for expediency AND safety, choose more direct routes to each mini-cache. The reason I ask is because after work yesterday, I was researching the route in the upcoming multi I plan to do - however, the route in the story line does pass through some rather rough neighborhoods....neighborhoods I wouldn't even travel though in daylight unarmed  !Thoughful opinions are welcomed....... I think it would be best to set it up the caches for the safer route, however it would also be nice to document the actual route
