I'll post coords for the entrance off Rock Creek Rd. The cache page coords are for the tower on the mtn top, so I'll also post some coords for a likely lunch spot where the road comes nearest to the Rich Mtn summit.

A couple of good lunch spots are uphill from my "Solaros" cache and another at the site of the now archived "Short Bus" cache. A third is at the end of the road at "Rich Mtn Delight" cache. Hopefully the hunters won't already have staked out those prime spots. Wish I could join you guys. Have fun!
I was talking to a fellow member of Southern Jeeps today about this ride. He told me about another good place for offroad nearby, a spot called Cashes Valley. The road has several stream crossings and a waterfall.
If there is interest from the group we might take a look after finding the caches.
The road starts near Bush Head Gap, for those with a FS map.

Is there anyone I can hitch a ride with. I can meet off 75 400 or near the trailhead. Im sure the explorer can make it but parking for a boat will probably be limited with all the hunters. So if anyone has room please let me know.

November 26 by JBzHOW (1357 found) N 34° 44.720 W 084° 20.870 I'll be coming in from the east from Dial and hope to be at the entrance around 10:30-11:00. I'm probably dropping Maggie off at Camp Useless. If so I'll have an empty front seat and a need for a co-pilot... I'm hoping we'll find a wide spot in the road somewhere near the posted coords(which, as Big K correctly points out, are for the top of the mtn) to stop and lunch around noonish. Maybe somewhere near the above waypoint......
I also updated the page with some trailhead coords. From Cherry Log and the west turn south just past the game checking station off Rock Creek Rd. Coming from the east and Aska Rd, turn south at the Rich Mtn Rd off Stanley Gap/ Rock Creek Rd.
Cashes Valley looks good too.
And I think dinner will be at the Riverside after I heard the review from one of the GGAs finest,
quote:
If you stay on the Rock Springs Rd. it'll dead end onto Aska Road. I highly recommend the smoked trout at the "Riverside Restaurant" just across from that dead end.
