I hope you don't mention Stage three's secret, I think there are spys from the "craft of unknown configuration" around and we wouldn't want them to find the comm center.

Edited to keep information from the spys. Geo-Agent

I want to take a moment to give a special thanks to the Lacy's (Allen and Johnnie) for thier dry run of "Starhopping" and also to Yoyo for being the guinnea pig for the first (on-his-own-with-no-forewarning-of-the-tricky-parts)run. With the help of these excellent gentlemen, I think we have managed to iron out the wrinkles. This leaves us with a cache that even the most seasoned geocacher will remember with a twinkle in his/her eye for years to come. I also want to thank yoyo for that awesome photo (see lovely view). That is the kind of picture that tantalizes the interest of most of us who play for (as trailfrog puts it) the "thrill of the hunt".

Once again: Thanks guys. I owe you one.

From the logs of Starhopping:

"Stardate 80725.65 Final report on Starhopping.
Johnnie and I as members of the Galactic Patrol Survey (GPS) were given the mission to verify that the dispatches from Star Fleet were not garbled by subspace interference. This mission led us into areas of the galaxy that had never surveyed before. We had to use multiple means of travel, from simple impulse drives to sophisticated Hyperspace Jumpgates. We found that a few of the dispatches had been garbled, and reported the results to Star Fleet command and they indicated they would send corrected versions. We suggested that a time vortex be used so the corrections could be sent before crew needed them. But we found the same subspace anomaly that garbled some of the dispatches also prevent the use of a time vortex. So we realized that the corrections might garbled as well and hoped future navigators wouldn’t have too much trouble."

Does this mean the coords/page/hints/cache or something is wrong?
Shrug Confused

There were problems when Johnnie and I did the trail run, which was before Yo-yo man did the hunt for real. The date I used was the date of the report not the date of the trail run. I wanted yo-yo man's logs to be first since he is the true First To Find.

I will edit my note to try and make that clearer. Also there were a few problems left when yo-yo man did his hunt. But since Sparc77 has fixed them and it no longer applies, I will remove that part of report.

I won't tell you (yet) what happened at Stage #2, but as the pain wears off, I might. I'll be back looking for the lost starship in the morning! Cool 4

Well my second visit to stage #2, actually provided me with a new scar (a small one anyway).

I should mention that it was my fault for not paying enough attention to where I was putting my foot. Just like the scar I got at Iron Horse, which also is small.

Hey! Good going! Congratulations.

I'm proud of you. Now maybe I'd better get off my duff and start on this Odyssey.

Sig.Other and I really appreciate your kindness! "Starhopping" is one fine cache! I will nominate it for the "Outstanding" in at least a couple of categories, for sure. Too bad not enough people have searched and found it yet to vote it a winner, but is is in my book.

For all of you who are considering going for this one, I heartily encourage you. You will see some of the loveliest parts of our state ( and a couple of others, maybe). You will test your mental and physical juices, but not be endangered, and you will find six rewarding caches!

Thanks to Sparc77 for the work that went into this one, and thanks for Johnnie, Allen and, yes, The Yo-yo Man, for clearing the glitches for me and Sig.Other (yes, Sig.Other was at two of the stages).

And special thanks to my mother. Without her, I could not have done it! King Tounge
