I have just submitted GCN6K4 as an event cache on April 2 in Woodstock. This is in coordinatioon with the Mud For Blood drive sponsored by a number of the local offroad/4WD clubs. Details are on the cache page when it's approved.

It's not necessary to give blood, but I'd encourage anyone who can to do so.

There will be a lot of offroad rigs there with the opportunity to ask questions of knowledgeable people.

This event submission ran afoul of multiple event cache guidelines and was rejected. if anyone wants to get together for a blood-drive/4WD/geocaching event, please post here.

You're more than welcome. I'll email you rendezvous info from home.

For anyone else interested in participating, here is the scoop:

a) The 4WD-club sponsored Blood Drive starts at 10:00am at the closed Walmart parking lot in Woodstock at the intersection of Hwy 92 and Hwy 754 (just east of 575 exit 7). GPS coords are N34 05.146 W84 31.159. Those who give blood are entered into a raffle for a Warn winch. In addition there will be hotdogs etc. for sale.

b) At 11:00-12:00, same location, there is the monthly meeting of Southern Jeeps 4WD club. Anyone interested in possibly joining is welcome to attend.

In any case, there will be lots of people from multiple 4WD/offroad clubs with their rigs, so lots of chances to ask questions about offroading.

c) The first geocache will be BackRoads Bandit. If you don't want to show up in Woodstock, we will meet at the entrance to the WMA road at approximatey 1:00pm. GPS coords are N34 16.922 W84 34.005. This spot is off of Hwy 108 between Sutalee and Waleska in Cherokee County. The road is not recommended for normal 2WD automobiles.

If you plan to show up, please post a note here.

That does sound fun. If I can get the down time, I might be able to make that. I'll have extra seats if anyone needs a ride.

A geocacher's nighmare: able to find hundreds of hidden boxes all over the world, yet can only find one sock when unloading the clothes dryer.
