Kenneth, You may be able to put the file on your profile page on gc.com, or upload it to one of your archived cache pages (if you have any.) If you try this, please let me know if it works. And I still say it's an excellent cache! -Brad

Whaddoyaknow? That works too. One just has to ignore the parts about uploading images and just march on. The sound, for some reason, is a little distorted. Not sure why. This is on the Geocaching com site: Dixie Ken sent me the file and I've uploaded it to my Mindspring area. It should work OK now. See ya on the hunt!

quote: I thought it was a really cool idea for a puzzle cache. Wish I had thought of it! Hope you're able to work out the bugs so that it will be easier for everyone to access.

quote: Brad, Great idea. I had originally thought about trying that but decided not to since the name of the file shows up at the bottom of the cache page for the user to see/click. I wanted the file info to be a part of the mystery but I think the "cat is out of the bag". I uploaded it and it works great. Thanks to DaRebel for putting it on his site for me to use, but I'll just keep it on the geocaching.com site so it is cleaner that way. Hope it works for all now. Now I should see some more finds, right???? Kenneth --- He's so skinny, he has to run around in the shower to get wet.

Kenneth, What you have so far is good, but I believe you can upload the file to your profile page. Once it in somewhere on GC.COM, you can point to it in your HTML and have it play when the page is rendered by the user's browser as you originally intended. The cat is only out of the bag for those who have read this thread... There are a lot of others out there. -Brad

Seems to work fine now. Thanks! Now I've just got to listen very, very, carefully. BTW, you sure about that cat? See ya on the hunt!

I did the cache that is the subject of this thread on sunday and it is one of the most creative I have done. I did have to visit stage one twice but that is only because i was blind on my first visit. If anyone is staying away from this cache because of the intial problems described here then you need to check it out again. Put it on your list of must do's.
