Any day this week M-Thursday.

Might need a 4wd vehicle to get to the parking area in the forest. I'd have to trailer my Jeep, in which case Thursday is best for me.

You won't need 4wd to get to Patterson Gap.

I didn't post my route since I don't think it's the best way in, I just followed the first finder.

Optional limo route for LZ33 would be Betty's Creek Rd from Dillard Wink Smile

Howdy, I haven't had time to check the post lately. Looks like I'm behind.
Patterson Gap connects Persimmon Rd. and Betty's Creek Rd. It is narrow and gravel but any regular car should make it fine. If it doesn't, get a different car! The FS road that leads to Laurel falls parking in NC, is usually closed from Jan 1st to March 15th or so. You can access this road from Hwy 64 or Hwy 441. Just depends on where your coming from.
If you were thinking there's a backdoor to access the cache, your thinking has been clouded by too many park and grabs! Laughing I think there is a third trail option but you would have to get permission from a property owner. If you want to go to that trouble for a longer steeper trek, go for it.
I tried to keep the cache page simple. The cache is easy enough to find. I really wanted folks to take the big challenge and look for the rocks. My only advice is to follow the dotted line. Wink Smile

OK, next time brownie2 posts one of these caches here I'm going to ignore it Flaming Mad

BTW, I'd rate the difficulty as 1.5 and the terrain as 4.5 Big Grin

I hope your not mad, KVOM! Confused
My wife went with me to place the cache and she didn't complain, well she was rushing me to go when it started sleeting. If it wasn't for that, I would have taken the time to hide a smaller pint size container that would've been very difficult to find! Sneaky
