Looking to see who would like to do an offroad event before the end of the year. The proposed event would take place at noon Meeks Park in Blairsville on the selected Saturday. Around the event cache there would be two opportunities for some offroad adventure:

1) Meet in Blairsville at 9:00am and head up to hunt the Kache Visible on Mountain. The offroad portion is a moderate, rocky road about a mile long once you leave the pavement. Any 4wd vehicle with reasonable clearance could make it. The cache, on the other hand, means a short but steep climb up the hillside.

2) After lunch in Meeks Park, drive a short distance to Beasely Knob ORV area for a few hours of offroading. These trails can be more difficult in places, but a stock Jeep with good tires, or an equivalent 4wd vehicle, should be able to make it (leave the SUV at home). At the top you can be one of the few to score the cache I placed there a couple of months back.

The Beasely portion would be cancelled in event of any rain, as these trails become very slick when wet.

At the event itself I will be happy to discuss offroading safety and vehicle recovery techniques.

Let me know who's interested.

Question:
Which date is best?

Choices:
Saturday November 17
Saturday November 24

I hope you get a better resonse. It sounds like a great time to be had.
If you put together another one, please either post here or Email me. I would really like to do one of these.

As of today I'm planning on a Southern Jeep trip to Windrock in TN that weekend. If plans change I'll get in touch.
