Well, I'm finally getting ready to get this one placed:GCKNPD - It Is Very Dark...

Update:

The cache has been placed and was approved this evening (thanks, ~erik~). With some of the FTF fiends out there I may see the first finder's log tomorrow morning.

Since this is my first night cache, I'd appreciate any input regarding improvements. I was the only one out there tonight, so some fine-tuning might be in order.

While placing the cache I got to do the the "OMG that's the biggest spider I've ever had on me!" dance, not to mention dealing with the other critters mentioned in the cache description. Blindingly bright flashlights aren't necessarily needed, but it was interesting to see how different filters changed the visibility of the markers. Just something to think about...

Good luck, all!

Sounds like a goody from reading the page...

Even though I've been warned by my Dr. and spouse to not do too much until my stitches are out, I'm on the downhill side of healing and am inclined to give this one a go.

Do you think the grues will smell my wound and go into a feeding frenzy??? Red Face

kennethpruett: Have at you!
Grue: You are indeed brave, kennethpruett, but the fight is mine.
kennethpruett: Oh, had enough, eh?
Grue: Look, you stupid @#$%^. Your stitches have split open!
kennethpruett: No they haven't.
Grue: Look!
kennethpruett: It's just a flesh wound!

kennethpruett continues to threaten the Grue despite the serious injury.

Grue: What are you gonna do, bleed on me?

Laughing Sorry, couldn't resist. Fool

Update: I meant to have this on here earlier, but got a call and posted the message without it.

Kenneth, don't take a chance on hurting yourself at this location. The terrain isn't terrible, but the footing isn't smooth by any means. I'd hate to have another cacher find you with a grue gnawing on you.

I'll be backup if you need me, but I won't be free until about 9:30 tonight. Let me know if you need me. You've got my cell #.

I fart in your general direction.
Your mother smells of dingleberries.

We're even now.

Kenneth,

Thanks for your input on the cache. Ive dropped the terrain rating a 1/2 notch and will wait for input from others to see if that should be adjusted another 1/2 star.

I look forward to reading more interesting logs from finders as time goes on. This spot is another one of those urban wilderness areas that can make for some unusual reading if the hunt is timed right. Smile

Glad you had fun.
