Do you have to say a prayer every time you take your low-slung sedan on a geocaching trip? Does the underside of your car have limbs and grass hanging down? Do you need more interior space than a pickup? Does the price of a new SUV scare the $*^% out of you?

This may be the solution. The GMC Safari van is built on a truck chassis, has rear wheel drive, good ground clearance, and the 4.3L V6 can really pull a trailer. This van has been to Rocktown, Toccoa Suspension Bridge, Amicalola Challenge, and Donelson Furnace, to name a few rough-road adventures.

Is that your farewell to the Safari, or your farewell to geocaching?

CharlieP:

If I had the funds I'd be all over that thing. With another child coming into the family in about a year, we'll be needing the extra room that a van provides. We have a friend with a similar van and they've had no complaints with it.

However, there's no way we'd be able to arrange the funds any time soon. Most all of our extra money is tied up in the adoption fund right now. Guess we'll have to hope for another deal like this to come along.

Good luck finding a buyer.

You know me better than that! Farewell to the Safari, of course. There are a few caches in western Mississippi that I have wanted to do for some time now, and I am going that way on business. My Miata would probably be toast on this one.

Been to all of those in my '03 Buick Rendezvous Tounge

That said, I'm thinking about getting an old jeep. There's one on eBay right now labelled "xanthophobia" which looks like it would work. First I have to figure out where I can park it.

Its SOLD

PatP mentioned at work yesterday that we were selling the van, and one of her friends wanted it. They bought it today.
