Johnnie is standing on 972 cache finds. He is a Charter Member. (I wonder when/where the 1k party will be?) I know Rebel was a Charter Member. Who else is a Charter Member? (link for definition)

I didn't know the GGA had a charter membership. How much was the membership?

A Lot of blood Sweat and Tears....

I know in that first year I dropped quite a bit of cash in the ammo can or for the prize table. As did most of the other First year members.

The SC members pulled large amounts of money from their own pockets over the years to actually fund the GGA.

So others could enjoy a Due-less membership.

I think they earned a charter membership.

As did all those from the first year that gave freely to help defray costs.

It's funny. I have always had the word Charter Member on GC.com profile page. Even Before I paid my first subscription fee.

Do you know what your member number is?

Yup. I know mine is pretty low (4 digits). But since I'm at work I can't check my GSAK.

I used to be a Charter member, but when times got hard, I let my subscription lapse for a few months. When I renewed it, I was listed as a Premium Member. I emailed 'The Powers That Be' asking to change it back, but it fell on deaf ears.
Oh well.

That's OK, phat.bak. You're still at the top of our "Legends" List. bow

Yup 4 digits. And It still surprises me. In my gsak list of georgia cache hiders... I am 27th. It's a good sized db... 11733 caches (11518 georgia).

There was a time I was #34 in the world.

And then ***PoooF***... I wasn't.

Same boat as Phat here. My # is 4 digits as well, Joined GC.COM on 4/13/2001. Don't think I am a Charter GGA member AFAIK.

I like seeing the join dates on this forum. We opened it up on October 30, 2002, as you can see by Erik's join date. SC members testing things first. Mine is the next day since I was logged in as the forum admin for the first day setting things up. We worked on it for about a week getting some stuff moved and then opened the doors. You can see Slayerette's and phat.bak's join date as November 9 and sledgehampster as November 10.

Again I'm confused, are you talking about your "owner ID" number?

Yes. I am 3512. You can find yours by going to this page.

http://www.geocaching.com/account/default.aspx

In the Groundspeak Forums, if you mouse over someone's name you can see their ID number at the end. A neat trick.

The member ID is the same as the Owner Id in GSAK.

#4261 - gc.com

As for gga - my membership date is actually 8-11-2001 and in the grand scheme of things since #'s aren't given I don't have an official one. but if they were given It would be a number between 22-27.

Just a bit of Trivia -
The member who would have ID #1 would be tjbowers.

Dale - your's is 3-12-2005 (If you didn't know).

My GC ID number is 2409 and I've been a GC member since 02/01/01, so my 10th anniversary is coming up next Tuesday! I had a really slow start though, since my first find on Blood Mountain wasn't until late in 2002.

I didn't register with the GGA until 07/31/03 and attended my first GGA meeting on 09/13/03.
