I felt like that I should say something about STREAKING. In the spring of 1974 when I was in college, people starting removing all their clothes and streaking around campus and other public places. Being that I was at GA Tech it was NOT very exiciting.

During the January 2008 GGA meeting I was talking to Smiling in Acworth about our streaking problem. We decided to call it the "DOUBLE SICKNESS". It is almost like having to get another "DRINK" for the day to keep going. Geocaching is the first sickness that we all have and then a few of us decided to be really ILL. I have to blame mtn-man for getting this started back in the summer of '07. At one of the meetings he pointed out that he had found a cache for over 100 days in a row. Well....at least Similing in Acworth and I heard that statement. I believe that I had already started mine, to clean up all the caches near my house. Then it grew into this "DOUBLE SICKNESS".

Several cachers have placed caches out to keep our habit alive. Owl 1959 and Maviman are two that I know about. These "Streak Extender Caches" have really come in handy for me on several occasions. Thank you very much for placing them.

Here is a current list of cachers that I know about that have the "DOUBLE SICKNESS".

Yellow Jacket: 300 finds, March 14;
Smiling in Acworth: 234 finds, March 13;
talk2azs: 169 finds, March 14;
Lost and Found 2: 81 finds, March 13;
Mojoski: 60 finds, March 14;
Beef Jerky: 48 finds, March 13;
dap217: 34 finds, March 13.

There maybe more sick cachers out there that I don't know about at this time. Please make yourself known! It would be nice if the other cachers out there would help out with the sickness by placing out more caches.
By the way; www.itsnotaboutthenumbers.com is a place that holds more information.

Sweet to see that you STILL are going like the Energizer bunny. I hated that mine had to come to an end the way it did and it was somewhat heartbreaking when I realized I missed a day (mixed in with the heartbreak we were already feeling anyway).

Ironically, I've been thinking about doing it again. The bad thing is that I pretty much wiped out my local area with the 300 caches in 100 days run I was doing at the same time. It is about that time of year I started last time though...
