| Geocacher |
According to the local news, there is a another gator loose in the Chattahoochee River near I-285. It has been spotted sunning itself in the Cochran Shoals area near the I-285 bridge, within viewing distance of GC1M1AG, "ITP No. 9 Shoals". A park ranger is quoted as saying "The gator's not bothering anyone". http://www.ajc.com/metro/conte.../19/gator_river.html

Hope the gator successfully makes it south to warmer waters, though you'd think dams further downstream would be an impediment. Wonder how it came to be this far north? Six feet long is too long to have been a pet, 'though our iguana made it to five feet. ~erik~
