I am so sad. I am on vacation in AL/FL and I hit a webcam cache yesterday. I posted a photo and logged the cache. Unfortunately, the owner deleted my log without any notification. I am so sad.

I've emailed the cache owner, asking why, but I have not received any response.

I felt like I met all of the cache requirements. Should I post my log/photo again?

My log said "God Bless Benatic! My Little FlygURL was asleep in the car, so I could not leave the parking lot. But, while fighting for control of the camera with someone, he managed to finagle it to the parking lot and shoot a picture of me and my GPS!! Thank you Benatic!"

My photo was

The cache is Webcam #1: Zeke's Landing

If you think I've made an error - I'd like to hear it. Smile I put on my tough skin. Smile

I didn't see any problem with the picture....but if you could crop it and re-post along with a another find that might help. But, it seems like the owner doesn't really care too terribly much since he graciously turns DNF's into smileys. Go figure.

However, I took a second look at the picture posted for the accepted cache logs and they seem to be of a different nature than the one you posted. How close were you to the coords?

Cache, responsibly.....

It appears that you are standing in a different place than the other pictures on the cache page. Another possibility is that the cache owner mis-interpreted your post. But the owner should have informed you of his reason for deleting the post. I would fagidaboudid and keep on caching.

I'm tough on my virtual caches, which is basically what a web cam shot is for the most part. It looks like you were suppose to go out to the dock. Since you didn't, they deleted your log. Honestly, I probably would have too. That isn't "finding the cache" to me. It is sort of like going to a park and not taking the time to find a traditional cache and sign the logbook, but posting a find because you were in the parking lot for the park. I just deleted someones log from one of my virtual caches because they did not answer the question and just uploaded a picture of themselves in front of the area.

With webcam caches you have to be in the exact spot mentioned in the cache description and doing whatever it is you're instructed to do. It appears you didn't do that and thus this shouldn't count as a find.

Thanks for all of your replies.

I agree that I was not at the listed coordinates. I would have liked a note from the owner when he deleted my log. Unfortunately, I was not able to get back there to really claim that cache.
