I noticed phat.bak was caching in the area of ICEBREAKER GC20b0( soory I haven't figured out the link process ) today and was wondering if he, the Lacys' or possibly anyone else had tried this cache.
I'm not ready to e-mail Big W for clues, but maybe some discussion here will be helpful.

I was up that way yesterday heading to Richard's Flow and stopped by IceBreaker. I think I know what I was looking for, but I just couldn't find it. It was raining and the GPS was spotty, but I looked in all 3 places it was pointing to. I gave it an hour of time, at least. These micros in the woods really give me fits. (Must need new glasses). I could tell that someone else had been around recently, but don't know who/what.
Anyway, Richards Flow more than made up for my no-find. Now that's a great place!

It is on my list, but I have been spending at least part of most recent weekends in the Atlanta area so I haven't had time to try. Of course the attraction has went up since phat.bak has tried and not found it. Big Grin

Oh icebreaker is GCG5X4 where as GC20B0 is Unicoi/Smith Creek Cache

I tried it today (06/15), and didn't find it either. The main excuse I am going to use is that the GPS led me into a large patch of poison ivy and since I had shorts on I didn't do as detail a search as normal. I will be back with long pants some weekend.

Now I feel a little better about my failures to find. I believe I have a good idea of the type of cache container, and I have been able to get the GPS to read within 4'. Clearly this hasn't been good enough.

for discussion about icebreaker.
After looking for it at the coords and not finding
it. The place just don't seem like a place that someone from metro Atlanta would put a cache. There no waterfall, no mountain top, no lake,
no anything of interest. In fact it looks like private property. Just woods and vines like you
would find on the side of the road anywhere.
If I were to be asked what I thought, I would guess there maybe a number off in the listed coords. Just my two cents.

It's not the kind of spot you'd expect a cache in, unless it was a spur of the moment decision made up with what was on hand. I hope it is a number off.

Especially since the description says "A very short hike. This almost classifies as a drive by." The coords let me to within 20 feet of the road, I have seen short hikes, but I would consider 20 feet to be a "drive by" not a "almost drive by."

Something about the allure of no finds tends to draw me to go do caches to hope maybe that you can prove the others wrong. Well i proved myself wrong. Me and trez went out yesterday. Theres nothing there. Nothing to see or anything. We could tell others had been there. I think the cords maybe off and the cache maybe closer to Lake Burton or something like that.

It appears from Johnnies log that it is one digit off.

I picked up the proper coordinates just before leaving work, thinking I would take the long way home( at risk of missing the Amazing Race)-oh -wrong thread- I would have been home at two or three, and locked out of the house if I had gone for this one! What a difference a digit makes.
