wider than a mile.
I'm crossing you in style someday.

The Waterbaron, a South Carolina geocacher, placed a geocache near the famous Moon River here in Savannah last week. I was actually in the parking area for it last week, taking pictures of water birds. But I didn't know it was there.
Anyway, Chaos & I set out today to find that cache. Only problem.... I get to the edge of a creek & the GPS says 200 feet on the other side.
Now I have on occasion been called stubborn. And I certainly proved it again today. I was determined to get to that cache!
There was a small dam of rocks across the stream. I could probably have stayed dry on the rocks, but there were shells (barnacles) & I was afraid Chaos might cut a paw. It looked pretty shallow from where I stood, so I moved a few feet away from the rocks, said "Come Chaos" & in we went. It quickly rose to knee high, but my feet were already wet, so on we went. Then I slipped & I was up to my waist! That's OK, still going, finally back on dry land (with my truck on the other side).

Took less than 10 minutes to find & log the cache.

Now, time to go back to the truck. Once again I say, "Come Chaos" & step into the water. Chaos dug his front feet into the dirt & barked (I think he said I was crazy), then he growled, then he whimpered and followed me across. Back in the truck I think he was comparing me to his mother (if you know what I mean.)

Oh yeah, good thing my Rino is waterproof. Too bad my new digital camera isn't. Gene is doing CPR (Camera, Please Revive) on it now.

Penny, I hope that the water temps down in your neck are warmer than here. No freaking way would I hop that far waist high right now up here. I like the cold, but not *THAT* cold.
