Sorry about your headache Trez.

Seems like Dr. Evil gave me a few too. Wink

I will acquiesce to Trailerman and Johnnie and not post any clues.

Hey, johnnie! I've got the other 1.5%. Let's make it a team find! Thumbs Up

I think johnnie's gonna use the "brute force and ignorance" method of beating this cache to death. Which component were you contributing? Wink

On a serious note, several people have e-mailed me their hypothesis. I'd probably have done the same, and in fact these same folks have helped me in the past. However my answers to one person might give them an advantage over someone else who's going down the same path but is quietly noodleing it out on their own. If you send me some coords I'll be happy to tell you if you're right or wrong just to keep you safe and off private property. But please no general questions like "do I calculate the intersections of lines drawn between the listed caches or is it like PITA Puzzle #X?"

Today's going to be a beautiful day. Save this cache for a rainy day when you have nothing better to do but think. Smile

Thanks!

I was in the middle of logging my Find, just kidding, my DNF, and I get this:

The process cannot access the file "e:\caches\xml\120646\120646.xml" because it is being used by another process.

Erik- use your magic admin powers to make it* go away! Smile

-AndymanD

* The error, not the cache, just in case the ambiguity was confusing!

Apparently andymand got a numeric clue which was not being given to the rest of us. Razz

I was in the middle of approving caches and trying to send e-mails through the geocaching.com system when I ran into the same thing. I'll e-mail the folks at groundspeak but I'm sure they're still asleep in Seattle.

And now for something completely different:

quote:

An Error Has Occured

This geocache does not exist in the system

If these error messages are hints, Erik, I'm stumped, er, fooled. Wink

Maybe gc.com is punishing me for my having joked about having Found it? Shrug

Jerry- it's all part of Erik's grand plan to let Johnnie be FTF!

Just kidding. It's back up.

Erik- I hope this doesn't spoil a clue Wink, but you wrote: "Jlong/LazerBlazer" and I think it should be "jelong/LazerBlazer".

...at straws, aren't we Andy!?
Maybe today will be the day since it's so nice out and most of the GGA seems to be focused on this prized FTF!
Had to turn down johnnie on the teaming up today as I have domestic chores here in Midtown, but would've loved to seen the scene up there as the mass hunt got under way.
Hey Andy,...try going up there & wait for that blue Country Cadillac to park, then just FOLLOW HIM TO THE CACHE!! Idea-JB

Now you've gone and spoiled it for everybody.....

Just kidding. I fixed that, with apologies to Jerry Long! Thanks for pointing that out, but please don't point out anything else I screwed up. Wink

That's what I get for haphazardly slapping something together late at night........

...another FTF still up for grabs! Flaming Mad

Kinda deflating to our already withering egos to hear that you haphazardly slapped this thing together late at night. Crying

Time for a little extra hint for your good buddies?!? Help

Seems there were a few visitors to the park today.
Didn't find any caches, but got some good exercise walking around the park.

Actually I did provide a little hint just a little while ago. Hopefully Trailerman won't kill me for doing that.

Oh, I won't tell you where the little hint is. Wink

I like the way Erik made a members only cache without it being a members only. After all the only way you can read the descriptions of all the caches he mentions is if you are a member.

And speaking of Trailerman...I was in blissful ignorance of this cache until Trailerman called it to my attention. Now it's just ignorance. Confused--Sage

edited to correct spelling. Surprise!

So did you add a further clue to the page?
It appeared the map was not generated as if it had changed, but it looks the same.

I provided a little clue, but it's not on the cache page. I'd promised Trailerman and Johnnie that I wouldn't do that. Now you've got a second mystery to solve - where's the $%#&^ clue. Wink

Allen makes a good point about one (or was it some?) of the caches I listed being members only. It wasn't my intent to make my cache a defacto "by subscription only" cache by doing that. If someone feels they're missing something let me know off-line and I'll see what I can do to get you what you want without violating the sanctity of the other cache. (Not that I'm stating that it would or would not help you one measly iota, it just puts me in an awkward position.) Good catch though, Allen.
