I just want to say a very big thank-you to Cymbaline, AtlantaGal and Owl for coming to my rescue on Sunday. JoeBids and I decided to ride the Silver Comet Trail from one end of Cobb County to the other and cache along the way. After a few mishaps and about 12 miles my bottom came to the realization that it bit off more than it could chew. I made a call for help and they were there no questions asked, Other than "What were You thinking...?"

Thank you very much. Your ASSistance was greatly appreciated. If people want to know the whole story, follow my (or Joe's) log entries for 5-21-6.

BIG THANKYOU!!!!!

I would have to agree with you. Mostly. We had fun and we found a few caches along the way. We also found the first stage of 4 more caches, soooo I guess that means a round 2 at some time. Not real soon though, I haven't fully recovered yet.

Well one the best bike accessories I got was a couple of pairs of bike pants. Since I assumed no one wanted to see me in spandex Big Grin, I did get baggies, but both kinds make bike riding a lot more comfortable

I own bike shorts...I can guarantee no-one wants to see me in them. I do not wear them in public.

An occasionally wise goss once expressed eloquently what we all really know in our hearts:

"Spandex is a priviledge not a right."

Definitely words to live by.

Which is why I got the baggy version which look like regular shorts, but have the extra padding of bike shorts.

Smile

You're welcome! And, for the record, they got REALLY close to the other end of Cobb County, just a bit away from Florence Road parking.. not bad!

You could always wear your padded spandex bike shorts under your dress. Smile

Saw this thread a bit late. A very big thanks to Cymbaline, AtlantaGal and Owl1959 for their assistance. Slay and I were riding west (uphill 5% grade from what I've learned) when I realized I had left my car keys in Annie's vehicle. Duh, we were riding towards MY vehicle.

So, as a matter of convenience or being in the somewhat vicinity of one another, we asked for assistance. And it was graciously given.

Annie and & were only about 2-3 miles from my vehicle and if I had not left my keys, we WOULD had made it.

Our 15 mile (13 SCT/2 off) bicycle Geocaching adventure consisted of: Finding several caches, Not finding on two, starting 4 more mult-stage caches, a flat tire, missing keys, making transportation arrangements and..............
....oh yea, sore bottoms. Ain't gravity a ____Joy?

Thanks again folks.

Don't say you can't, say you'll try.

Alright now I've heard of an "*** chewing" but this is taking it too far. Seriously, Its a nice ride if you get your bottom up to speed. You can do the Evil Fabasard series if you get the gumption. Hope you all have a great rest of the year. Just got back into caching since I can't dive (dang it) til I get close to deep water again.

The Evils' are a nice walk, too, if you so desire.. Since I've adopted them from ya, I do them a few different ways: walking only, riding only, and combo riding/walking/driving. Smile

Of course, it's designed for biking only, but..
