I'm really bummed out. Someone stole the ammo can at the final stage. JBZHow was hunting for this the other day and couldn't find it, so I went down today to see if it was still there. Some low-life @#$%^&*! took it. The whole thing just really pissed me off. I would love to find the culprit and show them one of the many uses of my hickory hiking stick.

I have decided to archive the cache, instead of replacing it. Maybe after I cool down I think about replacing it, but right now I'm just too irritated.

As I said after you archived, what a loss of a great cache. if you do replace, what about putting it.. um... "on the other side", like the way I went to find it? Might be a *little* more safer, since I suspect "who" - rather, what location - might have had a hand in removing it.

I just feel for folx who didn't get to find it!

I would agree with either reversing the direction, or just placing it before the trail crosses the driveway of the evil cache eating ogre.

When I first tried to log the cache, there were several men fishing within 30 feet of the cache. I had to return a few days later. I expect that fishermen and others using the area go right by the cache quite often, and someone stumbled onto it. Otherwise, to find it a thief would have to do the whole 6 or 7 part cache, and that is unlikely. Caches near fishing holes do not last very long, I expect that an ammo box makes a pretty good tackle box.

FWIW,

I may move all the clues and make JB do the WHOLE thing over again ... JUST KIDDING! Big Grin I've got an ammo box. I just have to scout out a new location. I may even put a Micro at the old cache location.
