Cache Helper Forum

A Cache Helper is a person who has volunteered his/her time to take some responsibility for an individual cache, a group of caches, or caches in a geographical area. Where their available time and personal schedules permit, these Cache Helpers will make their services available to persons seeking these caches. The exact nature of these services will be determined by the offer of the Cache Helper and by specific agreement between the Cache Helper and the Cache Seeker. This might include such things as offering the Cache Seeker assistance in locating a well-hidden cache or as an emergency backup who knows where the Cache Seeker is going and will call for help if the Cache Seeker doesn’t make it out of the woods.

If you are willing to volunteer as a Cache Helper: Post a message stating which cache(s) or area(s) you will work with, the times and days you will (or may) be available, and just what services you are willing to offer. Let the subject of your message indicate the cache(s) or area(s). Please enable EZ Private Messages, if you have not done so, or provide the Cache Seeker some other way to contact you. Please check this forum regularly for requests.

If you want to contact a particular Cache Helper: Either post a message in the thread or use an EZ Board Private Message to contact the Cache Helper. Post your request IN ADVANCE (and not "day of") to give the Cache Helper time to see your request and respond. Before proceeding, you must wait for a reply from the Cache Helper. DO NOT ASSUME that your message has been seen or acted upon, or that help will be available if you have not received a reply from the Cache Helper. He/she may not be able to offer help that day.

If you need a Cache Helper and no volunteer is listed: Post a request in this forum, showing the word REQUEST and the cache or area in the subject. In the message, be specific about what help you are requesting, when you need it, and how a Cache Helper can contact you.
