I am all for this. I am retired and am around most of the time. I would be glad to relay messages
to others helpers. I would not give out your numbers to anybody. I would only call if it
were a cache help relay. Anybody interested in this type of setup, may email me at helper@johnnielacy.com You could list all the do's and do not's such as no calls during work hours and ect.
I already have sparc77's infor , so we have a big start by have North Central Ga. covered.
I can see this could work state wide in the future.

I couldn't find that 800 number of Johnnie's and had to ask Mtn-Man for it. It's sort of buried in the forum so I thought I'd bump it back near the top. I hope I won't need it tomorrow but something told me to bring it along.

I think it would a good idea to either "pin" this thread to the top of the list, or even better create a new thread with subject

Then the body could have a short description of what Johnnie is doing and maybe the fact if a Cacher needs a clue just call and probably he can get back you but if it is a safety concern to call in advance to make sure the local Cache helper is available.

I went ahead and stuck this to the top.
If Johnnie wants to create another topic as Allen suggested, we can unstick this one and pin the newly created one to the top. Thanks Johnnie for what you are willing to do. Hopefully this will never have to be used but it is reassuring that it is there.

How would a call from the 800 number appear in caller ID? I screen all calls and if I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up until the caller starts to leave a message and only if I then recognize the caller or they state their business.

This morning I received a call from an 800 number (deleted it, so don't know what the number was) and caller didn't leave a message.

I hate to think I may have missed giving someone assistance.

I programmed that 800 number into my cell phone prior to doing the 'Band of Brothers' cache last weekend. Those who've survived that cache could probably understand why.
