I did a dumb thing and left my gps AT a cache in Rome. If you're close to Rome, I think it MIGHT still be there in the AM. Please email me ASAP and maybe you can rescue it? brownthrasherNOSPAM@bellsouthNOSPAM.net

Thanks. URGENT

Unfortunately I am not in Rome this weekend. Am visiting Bravesfan in Nashville. Email Deaglos, Reynolds Gang or Team Gridlox as the are in/near Rome. If they don't respond let me know. I can't act till Monday AM. Hope it is recovered.

I got up early and drove up to Rome because I knew I'd always wonder if I didn't check. Diaglos saw the post / email I sent and was kind enough to check too. Unfortunately, if that was the last place I had it, the gpsr is now gone. <sob> Thanks for dashing out early to give the place the once-over, Dieglos!

Did your GPS have any personal contact info on it? I don't know if magellans have that feature like the garmins or not.

Just remember that Cym left his sitting on the deck near one of Uraca's caches. A very nice muggle found it, left a note at the deck with his number and Geomuse saw the note when she visited the cache after us, and got in touch with us. Needless to say, he got his Rino back.

Wow, that's quite a story. I did have my personal contact info entered in it. I am up for a miracle, but not expecting it. It was my first day doing paperless caching using just the gps and pda too. It was great! Dang it!

I just don't know where I lost it. I just know the last spot I remember seeing it was there. And I went home, pretty much right after that. But it was a very stressful day. I took another one of those torturous teacher tests, and boy, it knocked the wind out of me! A real tough thing that unnerved me. So, I was probably pretty flakey by then. It was close to 6 and I kept thinking I might get locked in the cemetery and I had to hurry and get out. So...what I have LEARNED from this is that if I'm going caching I MUST have clothing with pockets (didn't on Sat), and even if the little lanyard hook breaks off of my next one, I'm going to have to figure out a way to hang it off me so I can't drop it. Sigh. Just another learning experience on the journey of life. Frown
