can anyone tell me how can you get notified of new caches published? trying to get our FTF having no luck! thanks

For new cache notifications, you'd want to add a notification for "Traditional Cache" with a log type of "Publish Listing". And maybe another for "Multi-cache" / "Publish Listing", etc.

You have to pay the $30/yr for premium membership to take advantage of this.
