The pictures nominated for the various GGA calendars over the years, have been very good and I know at least some of them were taken on federal lands. So I think they would have a decent chance in the contest.

You can enter up to 3 photos per person.

And yes, I agree, there have been some great photos taken for the calendars. Be sure to post in January if you win something!

While the rules say the Contest ends "11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2006", it also says:

Winners will be notified via phone and email or mail by May 29, 2007.

So it will be almost a year before we know if anyone wins.

December... I just look at that as more time to get better pictures.

Exactly what I was thinking, wait until Dec then pick the best 3 pictures to submit.

Probably why they let you enter 3x. I only entered once. Figured I'd wait till late in the year to enter again
