Great time to get a new computer. While the GA tax free cap is $1500 for computers, many stores are covering the tax on amounts over that. For example if you wanted to buy the new state of the art $2500 Toshiba wide screen laptop, Circuit City would pay the tax on the additional $1000. Circuit City is also paying the tax on PDAs. (I don't think GA lists PDAs on the tax free list.)

Also according to REI, compasses up to $20 are covered under the school supplies clause.

Clothes, shoes, and other items are on sale for the weekend. I picked up an $80 pair of shoes for $50 without tax at Galyan's.
