(Finally) Preparing to hide my 1st cache in Peachtree City and I found these little fellas at Target in the automotive section.
They come in a 2 pack for $2.99. They have 1 inch diameter magnet on the back and a hook below the magnet if you want to tie something to it. They are made of plastic and top is really hard to take off the 1st time. It measures 3 inches long X 1 & 5/16 wide X 5/16 thick. Here's the link to the company that makes them. |

as some micro caches. What I do remember about them is they have a very low water resistant factor. But if they are sheltered from the elements they are just dandy.
I use altoid tins with magnets...very strong magnets glued to the back of them. The glue usually gives but the magnet stays where it needs to and the tin can be returned to the same spot easily enough. |

I thought that but I hadn't seen any on my hunts.
Thx for the heads up about the lack of waterproofing for them. They will work fine for my hides and should stay dry. I just have to find the time now and actually go hide them. |
