Had my PDA/GPS/power cable soldered at a computer dealer and as I was testing it, I told them about Geocaching and the GGA. It peaked some interest I believe. Richard (Owner) of Tetrasoft PC in Rome, GA has graciously offered a 25% discount on service for GGA Members!! They are the only Apple authorized service north of Atlanta.

I have a bunch of their cards I will be placing in caches and giving out at meetings. Visit their web site at http://tetrasoftpc.com/content/home.php

As one of the few Mac/Apple users around (Mudbug being the other), this is good info. I want one of their cards. There is another service center up here, tho. I use 'Preferred Systems' in Gainesville for my Mac repair needs (if I can't do it myself). They are small in size, but big on price - hehe. Competition is good.

I think giving them out at meetings for those who ask for them is fine, but please keep the business cards out of caches.

Thanks,
Kenneth

I am too! Apple pie, butter, red-uns & crab! I'm a Windoze XP driver, though. I think I've paid for a set of drapes in one room of Gates' outhouse. Laughing

See ya on the hunt!

I am another one ... I have been a PC guy all my life, but a lot of my consulting and music industry clients are using Macs, and I finally decided I'd better bone up. I bought a Power Mac G4 recently and am running Panther.

Good to know where all the Apple shops are!

Article How I PC'd an Apple G5 The article started with

I got a shiny new Apple G5 for Christmas. I loved the case, but I’m no Mac user. So I....

  • Get a brand new dual processor G5, then
  • Rip out everything,
  • Cut out the back of the case so I can use a PC motherboard, and
  • Install an Athlon motherboard

I have read about the zeal among Mac users, but the reaction to this story is a real eye-opener.

I have to admit - before I read the disclaimer, I had tears in my eyes. I kept thinking that it was a cool looking 'Piper Cub', but the 'F16' was relegated to the give-away box.
Great hoax.
