I am passing this info along to you folks about a real deal out there. A friend of mine got a Ipaq 5455 for "well, almost free",50 bucks and told me about the website. Now mine is in the que to be delivered. So here it is folks. www.expo4less.com/
There are other things on the website also at dirt cheap prices. Enjoy! Hikenit |

I think that this site is an example of a convoluted pyramid scheme. You get something for free or almost free after so many people sign up to the web site and then purchase some report that they are selling.
Kind of appropriate that this is in the 'steals and deals' forum. |

You probably have a piece of glass that's not worth a dime!
I was eyeing that 42 inch screen plasma TV. But that old saying popped into my head. After a little bit of dreaming, I came back to my senses. |

Cherokee, your right. It is a pyramid type thingy but it is the real deal. The thing to do is to get into one as early as possible. Otherwise you wait a while for other people to sign up on the "matrix" to bump yours up. There will be two items coming up next week. I just wanted to get a pocket pc cheap and figured this is the easiest way. I just have to sit back and wait. $50 Vs. $700.00 , I took the chance. My friend here in Chattanooga loves his 50 buck Ipaq.
I'll keep yall up to date if any thing goes wrong or right. |

While they use such terms as “Straight line matrix” it is a pyramid and might be illegal. They say for every 5 people who “buy” one of their reports someone can get a reward for a low price. So when person 5 buys, number 1 gets a reward, when 10 buys number 2 gets a reward, 15 buys number 3 gets a reward. See the pattern, it takes more and more people buying for someone to get a reward. So if you are number 1000, then 200 people have gotten the reward, by you have to wait until 4000 more people buy their reports before you get yours. Like all pyramids more and more people have to buy. It breaks when everyone who is going buy into has done so. For this one 4/5 of the people will get nothing. But since the website owners get money for every transaction they make a lot money unless the FTC finds them.
So Hikenit, I hope you got in the first 1/5. |

Actually, I am in the top 20 so yeah if 400 sign up below me I have it made. Really, the only reason I wanted to post this was to counter act the people selling the same info for 3 to 6 bucks on Ebay.
Ya know, It's only money |

quote:I didn't pay enought attention, I thought from their example they paid out every once for 5 people buying their "reports". But when I saw that it was going to take 400 before you got yours. I checked and see that not only the amount of money you have to spend on reports varies but the number of people who have to buy in varies. So for the Ipaq 20 people have to send in $50 each before someone gets one. So the company gets $1000 dollars. Buys a Ipaq which goes for about $700 and pocket $300. But when the Pyramid breaks instead of 80% of the people getting nothing, 95% of the people will get nothing. |

When I worked for the SC Secretary of State there was a similiar thing "The Gold Coin Club"
It was a ponzi scheme that had people pay in $1000 and a few months later each would get $5000 as more and more people entered the pyramid. They skirted the law by providing gold coins.. and stating that you were purchasing gold coins and that bonus checks were dividends. |

Don't feel bad Hikenit. I learned something new. That is what I like about these forums. Mention something here and someone will know something about it. I think that's cool.

He was Charles Ponzi and he set up his "Ponzi" scam in the 1920's. http://www.sec.gov/answers/ponzi.htm I like the picture of the pyramid at http://www.sec.gov/answers/pyramid.htm which shows that if it took 6 people at every level then by 13 levels everyone in the world would have sent money in. So who would pay in money so they could collect?
