All,

Take a look at the prices mentioned in this thread: Office Max Sale

Just got a Vista for $169. I just wish I could afford to grab several in order to sell them for a profit on eBay. Maybe someone else can afford to take advantage... Smile

Thought I'd pass on the good deals to everyone.

Man that was such a good deal bought one to use as a back up unit. Best price I had seen before was 225.00

It's a matter of degrees

Looks like someone has started changing the pricing. I just looked at the Officemax.com site again and the Vistas are still listed at 169.98 and the Ventures are still 139.98, but the Legends are now 199.98 and come with a $20 store coupon if you purchase one. If you've been on the fence about ordering one, you may want to go get it before the prices change again.
On the other hand, the color units coming out may drive the prices of these units down in the near future, so this may just be a precursor of things to come.
Just my thoughts,

Just got mine via UPS today. It wasn't even due to arrive until Friday.
I was almost expecting a refurb unit, but it appears to be factory new, in box.
Can't wait to get the Mapsource files loaded on this thing and start using it in the field.
Even better, I get to re-box my brother-in-law's Vista and send it back to him with my thanks for the loaner.
Happy caching,
S-4-C

I saw an ALDI Foods ad in the Sunday paper and they had the yellow Etrex for $79.99. Great entry level price. I didn't pay attention how long the sale was on.

That's a great price for a Yellow ETrex.
I started with one and eventually moved up to a Vista (for the maps & compass), but I wouldn't part with 'Ole Yeller' for anything. I have always claimed that my Yeller has much better reception in dense cover than my Vista. I carry 'em both in the field. Ole Yeller has brought me closer to a cache vs. the Vista many, many times.

Yep, that's what we been using for 3 years now. Think we paid around $109 for the eTrex in 2001.
