microcenter - 4 pack of double a batteries for .89 cents a pack. yes, .89 a pack. they may only last a few hours, but what the heck- for .89 its a bargain! ka-ching!

Too far away for me, but are they Alkaline?
If so, you guys better grab them - they won't last long.

If they are not alkaline, I wouldn't get them for my GPSr. I bought a "bargain" pack of BassPro batteries and everytime I got just far enough from the cache, they would die. I'd have to stop and change out. A royal pain.

But buy em if you want for less demanding devices.

Along the same lines... if you're a member at BJ's, they have 28-pack coppertop duracell AAs for about $9. Considering the average 8-pack is $6.99, that's a good deal. That's what I have been buying lately.

Go with rechargeables. Keep those el-cheapos out of the landfills.
