Recovering Geocacher![]() |
Wonder how much of a deal this would be compared to a basic store bought unit?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6-1uS0Pm_U I guess you'd have to put it in a baggy to protect it against the elements. Further info for DIY'ers here. ~erik~ This message has been edited. Last edited by: ~erik~, |

Geocacher |
Looks familiar. Wasn't that what phat.bak used to hide his caches for today's Challenge event?

It probably works better than mine did today. I wonder if it maps?

I think it only displays your coords - there is no way to enter waypoints and have the GPS navigate to them.
That's how I found my first cache though. I didn't know any better and drove & walked till both the latitude and longitude were in the ballpark, then walked exactly north and south along the latitude line until the longitude matched up. There was the cache! Now I have a modern GPS and walk around in circles instead. ~erik~ |

Of course if you build it yourself, you can program it to do anything you want.
