Both Erik and I have the Camelback HAWG backpack and hydration pack. It carries a lot of stuff, is comfortable to wear, incredibly well made and carries 100 oz of water. I paid (with a Scouting discount) $72.00 for mine from Galyans. REI has them on sale for $69.99. I can't find an expiration date.

FYI: If you have a Boy or Girl Scout in your family some of the stores (like Galyans) will give a 10% discount on most items. Just take your BSA or GSA registration card with you.

The H.A.W.G. is good pack, bigger than I want for a dayhike. But that is a good price for it.

I like my blowfish, which carries everything I need including 100 oz of water and is far smaller than a H.A.W.G.

It must be a general sale as Campmor has the H.A.W.G. for $59.97.

Also nashbar where I got my blowfish has the 2003 Blowfish for $69.99.

It looks like the REI sale ends on July 5th.

You might also check out Blackhawk Tactical (I believe they have a website) their hydration packs cost about half of Camelbak's. My friends in Iraq and Afghanistan swear that they prefer them!
