My Palm IIIXE has been a great PDA, but it was getting kinda old, and then I got a small crack in the case a couple of months ago. So I started looking for an upgrade. I decided to hunt for a good price on a Sony Clie PDA, because 1. They run Palm OS, which meant I could transfer the information and programs from my old PDA, 2. They use Memory sticks for extended memory, which is what my Sony Digital camera uses.
I had found several decent deals on them, when I decide to check www.overstock.com. There I found what I think was a good deal on a CLIE PEG-SJ33. It normally lists for $400 and they are selling it for $160 + $3 S&H. So I ordered it and it came Thursday. So far I am well pleased with it. I plan to make the IIIXE a geocache only PDA, I have cleared almost everything out of its memory so it can hold a lot Plucker files of Geocaches. Now this is a discontinued model, and has been refurbished, which is probably why overstock.com has it. But it was refurbished by Sony and has a warranty. Note they also have some refurbished Palms, but like I said I was interested in a Sony. ----- |
