Awaiting this! I do like bcaching.com, as well, although I'd like the map to update my location in real time.

Okay, the Geocaching app on my Droid works great! The only problem I have is when I do a multi-cache, I can't program in the coords manually for stages2...
Any advice? Yvette (yjjohnston) |

When you are in the Nav to cache mode there is a flag icon on the screen. If you touch that it will bring up a screen to add waypoint
It's a matter of degrees |

Thanks Trez! I never knew this. Of course I just started using my DROID for geocaching. My gps is sitting at home, warmly in a drawer. I still can't get rid of it, thinking I just might need it again someday.

I've had my droid x since right before Christmas. I think I've only used my delorme twice since then.
I love it. What's the consensus on the official gc app?. I use cgeo, and really don't know what else could be done any better. Is it worth the extra 10 bucks?? |

ABSOLUTELY! Instead of having to convert the caches and download to your gps, you can just "open" the app anytime. It will show you the closest caches; you can go to them and read the info just like normal; you can log them to geocaching.com from your phone.
For multi-caches, you can create new waypoints (for stage2 & beyond). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I never take my gps anywhere anymore. |

I think I might have sent a confusing question out after re-reading my post. What I meant to say was "is the official gc app worth the 10 bucks over using the free cgeo app". From what I can tell they both do the same thing. Are there some features that the official app has that are better than cgeo? Or is it faster?

I paid my $10 to support the Android app. I think it is poorly implemented, but it does work.
My GPSr is Trans-Portable and has a Ford Ranger mounted to it. |
