I have found that you can't really count on any email from GC.com to be consistent. My pocket queries usually come through in a timely manner, but sometimes they show up days after they run, as you have found. Worse, they occasionally don't show up at all, even though they have been generated.

I also have the notification feature set to let me know of any new caches published within 50 miles of my house. Again, they usually come through, but sometimes they don't. I didn't receive notice of Owl's last four puzzle caches, but maybe that's a good thing.

Same thing with notifications on caches I own - I usually get a prompt email when someone posts a log on one of my caches, but I sometimes notice a new log by chance and receive an email notice two days later. I don't know what to do about any of this except just to accept that the system is complex and doesn't always work as well as it should.

I've had good luck by generating pocket queries manually when I need them, rather than scheduling them. They seem to come in just a few seconds.

For a long time I never had a problem with it. I the last six months there seems to be problems. I never did get the query for the caches in the Terrel Mill Park area for last weekend but did get the caches along my route up the interstate. I try to generated them on Fridays in order to pick up any new caches for hunting on the weekend. Thanks for letting me know it's not just my computer.... Laughing

Friday is part of the problem. Most people do that, so the line is a long one on Friday. My suggestion would be to move it to Thursday.

Daily scheduled PQ's run last. Next are the weekly scheduled PQ's. People that generate a PQ on the fly as Erik suggested get their PQ's first and almost immediately. We did one tonight and it ran right away.

Here is a tip. If you need it right away, make a copy of an existing PQ. Run it and check the box to delete the PQ right after it runs. You will get it right away and your regular weekly PQ is still there. Since it is a new PQ, it will run very quickly.

If you say that because you get incorrect readings at the It's Not About the Numbers website, the problem is with the website, not the pocket query. I had the same problem but verified that the pocket query was correct by using EasyGPS.

I'm saying that because the query is wrong.
I checked it in gsak.

It dropped 12 found caches but shows the latest caches from Saturday that were found.

it is GC.com not the number thingee website.

I have experienced this as a problem if I am NOT in my "local teritory" database in GSAK. Otherwise, everything else is smoothe. No problems here, but I do not run routine queries either.

Cache, responsibly.....

If that is the case, you need to either write to the contact address or post in the Geocaching.com Web Site forum. I would check it in EasyGPS as well as GSAK. The amount of time you can run another query is now six days (some don't realize that), so you might run it again and see what happens. I had this happen once and it was just a "me" glitch. I have not seen it since.

Yeah...I'm gonna write Gc.com.

I'm still waiting for the last fix... I think it's been 2 years?

I was going to run it again when It comes back up. It is what it is. I have a data mining pivoting tool that I use to do anything that is necessary for the numbers well rounded thing with my data base.

Thanks anyway. I thought others may have been having the same problem.

My regularly generated Friday PQ still hasn't come in from yesterday....I tried this tip this morning and it worked perfectly...the PQ came in immediately. Thanks Greg.

Reran Query.

Ran it on not about the numbers site - crash and burn 0 caches found.

Checked in GSAK - 1446 caches found

Checked in easygps - 1450 waypoints

Seems to me... The query is a P.O.S.

am I going to complain to Gc.com? No. they have not been too responsive in my experience with them. I guess I'll do this stuff with my tools.

I think itsnotaboutthenumbers is not working right now, as the graphics are not showing up in my profile.

As for the others, HMMM.....did you load your finds into a brand new database in GSAK? That might help you narrow down what might not be in your PQ. Just a feeble thought.

Cache, responsibly.....

it's even wrong in easy gps. I think it has to do with the multiple finds stuff.
Anyhoo... I did it myself...

If you don't let them know, they cannot correct it.

If you can pin down the error, that would help them tremendously. By identifying the GC ID number for caches that are not showing up, they might be able to run it down easier. There are more people working in the office on things like this. That is why you see more things being pushed to the site and "Release Notes" topics in the Geocaching.com Web Site forum.

The thing that is odd to me is that I don't see any topics regarding this in that forum. I would think other would have this problem.

First... I have had a ticket out for 2 years and all I have gotten is the usual techie run-a-round.
Second... I think even a lowly little panty data monkey like me could figure this one out. After inestigating the issue myself I was able to narrow it down. It was the multiple finds that is messing things up On the not-numbers site, GSAK, Easy-GPS and Geobuddy. At least in my case.
