Sorry for being somewhat off topic, but with George Carlin's death, I couldn't help but think of two of his quotes (remember they are his quotes not mine)

quote:
George Carlin said
Men are from Earth, women are from Earth. Deal with it.

Here's all you have to know about men and women: women are crazy, men are stupid. And the main reason women are crazy is that men are stupid.

According to gc.com almost always when gc.com show that a pocket query has been generated but you haven't received it it is a problem with the mail server that handles your email box. For example yahoo is notorious about deciding that email from gc.com could be spam because of the volume of email coming from it and will start delaying delivery. Since I have my own domain, if I look at the status of my PQ's and they have the status of generated at anytime more than 10 minutes it is in my email box.

Note I have never heard of Gmail delaying email from gc. So this is a continuing problem for you one option is to get a gmail account and have your pocket queries sent to it instead of your normal email address.

My email is Bellsouth...I generally run two PQ's automatically each Friday...one for Alabama within 50 miles of Phenix City and one for Georgia within 100 miles of my home....the Alabama PQ always comes through with no delay (it is only 100 caches requested)....the Georgia PQ is the one that has the problem (it is 500 caches requested)....today it came through with no problem.....I have in the last week had copies of messages sent to other cachers through Groundspeak delayed in delivery back to me....in the past the copies of my messages sent are usually received back by email to me immediately...in the last week these copies have been delayed 4 to 5 days each.

I have some PQ's set for wednesday, some for thursday and some for Friday. The time of day they actually run varies, but once they run I get them with in a few minutes. These are to keep my GSAK database updated with information on Geocaches within 75 miles of here. If I am going some where outside the 75 miles or I want to make sure the data is fresher for a trip inside the 75 miles, I build a one time PQ for that area. They always run with in a few minutes and I get them in a few minutes after they run.

Note my PQ's are all sent to a special allenlacy.com mailbox, and I let google apps handle all email for allenlacy.com.
