Could someone explain or set up a link that explains how longitude and latitude convert from hours, minutes and seconds to decimal?
Thanks

Well I assume you mean how to convert from degrees, minutes and seconds to decimal degrees. Two links are Markwell's Update to the Geocaching FAQ and Hamilton's Math To Build On Degrees. But one of the simplest is to let your GPS do it. Some where there is a setting which controls how coords are entered and displayed. Change it to the way you want to enter it. Enter the waypoint. Change the setting to the way you want to see it. Then look at the waypoint.
