Prices may range from $500 for the top end (the 2000) to $130 for the basic model. --------------------- Live Well, Harm None |

I had to smile at the "amazingly easy to use" captions for the bottom of the line models. For the top of the line models that include camera, voice recorder, and who knows what else, that tag line is omitted. I suspect for those the user manual is lots bigger than the GPS.

Magellan's customer support hasn't been top notch lately. Hopefully they will do better. I'm still figuring out my DeLorme but will watch this one closely. --------------------- Live Well, Harm None |

That thing LOOKS cool, but I too was so turned off by Magellan's poor customer service that I have a poor opinion of the company. It became evident that they no longer valued their handheld device customers and were focusing all of their energies on the automobile navigation users. Their loss. I was a great supporter of their Magellan Gold unit. I still keep it mounted to my bicycle to measure speed and distance. Still works great there.
Sorry Magellan. Signed a confirmed Garmin user. |
