brings to mine, of a time when I was a young man, I was out of state and had to make a change of plans, and blot a new route. I stopped at a filling station (some called them gas stations) to get a free road map. They were out of them, (a glitch of the fifties) so on down the road to the next station that were also out of maps. When I did find one, it was free with fill up. That is why this small filling station in the boonies had maps on hand.
