Is there anyway to add photos to your own gallery without actually uploading them to a specific Cache?

Kinda, although the way I do it might be frowned on. I created a dummy cache page, submitted it, and immediately archived it so the approvers didn't see it. I can access it from my profile page and have uploaded quite a few photos to that archived cache. When I want to post a link to any of them, I just use the url of the image that is displayed when I have it onscreen.
Uses GC's storage space, but haven't been asked to cease-and-desist yet.

That's the way I do it too, except I just use one of the many archived caches I've already got. I think you can link photos from any URL on the WWW so you don't have to store 'em on a geocache site.

Any one know of a free Pic server to load them to?

There are a bunch of free storage areas around. A Google search turned up this short list, although I don't use them and don't know what kind of hoops ya gotta jump thru to utilize them.

zorpia sounds like a good one with unlimited storage and FREE

Saw JTRU found PictureTrail and decided to give it a shot. Not bad for free and easy enough to use.

As I did more research on pictrails it turns out it shuts down after 9-11 days with pic hosting then 19.99 a year but zorpia is unlimted space and stays free

Seems a fair number of the photoshop folx on somethingawful and fark have been using imageshack of late for their hosts..
