Found this on their website.

Sounds like they just revamped the Maggies and didn't add cool features for geocachers.
The prices are right for beginners though.

The news release doesn't mention the main thing that some maggies have that I wish my garmin had. That being expandable memory. It doesn't say these don't have it, the news release doesn't mention it at all. It doesn't mention computer connections either. Hopefully they have one and just didn't mention it.

Computer connectivity was one of the things I had wondered about. I haven't bought the cables for my SporTrak yet, but would hate to have to get two sets of cables. Hopefully the ones for the ST will fit the new models if they have this option at all.

These are advertised as being 14 channel recievers with EGNOS which is new to me. It must be the european equivalent to waas. If so these would be handy if you were going over there.

quote:
Consisting of three geostationary satellites and a network of ground stations, EGNOS will achieve its aim by transmitting a signal containing information on the reliability and accuracy of the positioning signals sent out by GPS and GLONASS. It will allow users in Europe and beyond to determine their position to within 5 m compared with about 20 m at present.
