This is a magazine I subscribe to and you may want to do the same since it is free. Read what you want to in this article, but I wonder if SA is in the planning again.

On a happier note, be on the lookout for gpsr's that are GLONASS capable. Some of the survey grade receivers like topcon are available now and are supposed to work better under canopy.

Hey George,

I'm not sure to what extent you are using GPS in your land surveying. However, you might be interested in checking this out: eGPS Solutions.

I admit that this is somewhat a plug for a subsidiary of the company I work for. However, I think it's a cool application of the technology, none the less.

we are using Trimble and are providing static surveys for a couple of cities at the present. We also use rtk for construction. Thanks for the link. Give Lonnie my regards.
