There's probable a simple solution, but I'll be darned if I can find it. I'm trying to update my GA dB in GSAK. I have a new Panasonic Toughbook (Windows XP) and when I open my email all the messages with the files have been removed, not just the files but the entire message is gone. I've done this three times, each time trying to solve the problem by tuning off Windows firewall or making sure McAffee is not grabbing them. Everything worked fine when I first downloaded GSAK and the last update was the beginning of June. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

It's unclear from your description what the problem is.

If your laptop is new, then it's possibly because the messages are stored on your old PC/desktop.

Define what you mean by "opening your email", and state what email client you're using.

KVMO,
I was afraid there was missing information....
I use email service provided by Acworth Cablenet and access via the Web so I can read from any computer. I confirmed receipt of the pocket queries on the home PC. The first time I did not open the email, the second time I did and the third time I forward each to a second email address. In each case, when I logged on to Acworthcablenet on the laptop (using broadband connection) all five with the attached files were gone. The ones forwarded to the second address did not contain the zip file. I did contact tech support at Acworth Cablenet, but have not heard back yet. I feel something is not set up correctly on the laptop, but I don’t know where to start. Thanks,
Roadrunner2

If you use a POP mail client like Eudora or Outlook then retrieving mail typically deletes it from the server. This is regardless of whether you open the mail on the PC.

If you access it via an HTML browser then it will stay on the server.

I would verify whether the emails are on your home PC.

KVOM,
I just did a thorough search of the home PC and if they are here, they’re hiding better then the best micro! Why would only emails from Geocaching.com be deleted and not any others? I also check the storage size and I use 2.34 of 50 MB, so storage isn’t a problem.

Can anyone help me with this. I run the same two pocket queries once each week on Fridays. One for GA and one for eastern ALA. Last week both showed as having been generated, but only the ALA. zip file was delivered to my email. This week both showed as having been generated but neither were delivered. I use Outlook Express for my email. They have run fine prior to this.

I have been having the same problem for a couple of weeks. Not only pockets queries, but any emails that come directly from GC.com have sporadic. PQs and notifications may or may not come through. I got a new cache "published" notification for a cache that had been published four days earlier and had been found half a dozen times.

A couple of times I have slightly modified and renamed the PQ and run it again. Maybe they're withholding info from cachers named Jeff. Has anyone else had this problem?

One of my queries that was generated at 3:29 am Pacific time on October 12th was suddenly delivered today (October 17th). Maybe my other one will come in later today. Wonder where in cyberspace it has been lurking???
