As we come out of summer it is getting near the time for us to begin thinking about photos for the 2004 GGA Calendar from Cafeshops. Johnnie has mentioned this too me a couple of times and it is time to get everyone thinking about it again.

To submit a photo for the calendar you need to have a digital camera of at least 2.3 megapixels. Smaller images will not reproduce well unless they are collaged together. Any photograph from a film camera can be scanned for the calendar. We will have a vote just like we did last year.

I have been thinking about it this year already and took some nice photos along the Sweetwater Creek trail near my two caches there. Be thinking about it as you cache out there!!!

does one go about posting entries for the calendar? And where would they be located for the voting?

the SC will post a call for photo submissions to this chat board. Then we can upload a low resolution pix of what we want to submit. They will set up a page with all submissions, and we all get to vote on them. The winners will be asked to submit high resolution images for the calendar. Remember that photos submitted in low resoltion (for the web) need to also have a high resolution available in case it is picked a winner.
Stay tuned to the boards and it will be self explanatory.

Yeah, phat.bak is right. This is more of a teaser but anyone can feel free to post some images here. The calendar is about things seen on the trail to geocaches and near geocaches. Last years calendar can be found here. We will have a call for entries in the near future. Here is an example of another cache type photo:

Interesting virtaul cache conformation pictures. I noticed this one on my Gateway Park cache and found ti very interesting to see Trailerman jam with Otis Redding... (sorry trailerman couldnt resist )

These pictures were taken during Easter Break on Fort Mountain State Park. There are two geocaches there. (The pictures were downsized for uploading to Geocaching.com. The originals are larger.)
