Although my first instinct was to cast a vote for the last option ... I voted for what I'm pretty sure it is. (I've read my newly acquired snake identification book cover-to-cover - twice)
I'll check to see that I'm right when I get home.

I found a 3-foot skin in my front flower bed yesterday. So, armed with my new found knowledge, thanks to the June GGA meeting, I examined the underbelly scales and confirmed that they do indeed split at the privates. Nothing to worry about here. Tounge

I never heard of an Alabama hoop snake. Do they hang around trailer parks and roll up in hoops and chase folks?

Here's a pic from Brenda Borden (Bill's wife). Bill is the only person from Georgia to finish the Iditarod. I was at the finish line to greet him. They sent me some pix from their recent trip to Ecuador.

What kind of snake is this?
