I heard about this series of caches in Utah on Podcacher this week and thought is was very touching. Blunder Bums created this series of caches this summer to follow a series of love songs and it creates an image that really shows how creative cachers can be. HOTD

Cool but I thought "Power Caches" were not allowed anymore.
It's a matter of degrees |

I think it is a cool concept. I guess "power caches" are ones that are located close together like that? Maybe the rules change when you're in the desert in the middle of nowhere. I can see why they wouldn't be allowed in certain smaller defined areas - cause then it would hog the available real estate.
Cache, responsibly..... |

I think some caching rules may be state specific. Or perhaps grandfather old caches in when the rules were created. When I have cached in California they seem way to close together in the urban areas. Very cool power cache though. Thanks for the link.

The geocaching guidelines say,
That heart shaped series seems to have caches about a quarter mile apart, and I doubt the trail follows that perfect heart shaped track. I wouldn't call it a "power trail", but it does add to the area's cache saturation. It kinda reminds me of this great, but now archived cache. ~erik~ |
