Hehe ... that's the answer I expected.
I tried to convince SWMBO to take a leisurely drive in the country to SC in the morn ... but she insists I finish the bathroom makeover ..... women .. go figure.
Oh well - I did get the Ricky 2006 and 2007 coins last weekend.

If anybody is interested, we heard a very strong rumor that there is a Johnnie Lacy Old Geezer coin near here:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=...09-a904-de3ef913fa91

Could be some others loose in caches as well.

Then there is the 2001 nickels, extremely rare and only come with Johnnie's name on them.

Here are some extras I will put in caches (or trade for one I need).

Top pic, second colum from left bottom nickel with the green ink, what year does that fall into?

There are some older Ricky nickels that were left out in the wild. I've only recently been active in terms of actually logging caches and doing them on my own. But I've done the occasional blue moon tag along for a long long time.

I've seen at least one that was over 3 years old and still in an ammo box in the last 6 months.

Having just been to the Lake Russell geocache and finding the cache site had been burned, I "rescued" a melted baggie with 16 2003 Lacy wooden nickels, 8 of Allen's and 8 of Robert's.

I don't collect these, so anyone who needs one to complete a collection let me know.

BTW, there is also an Allen Lacy geocoin #32. I will likely be placing this into one of my own caches soon.

I understand that the ammo can had been burnt and you decided the best course of action would be to take all the ruined trade goods that were in the can out but leave the log book. The nickels don't sound too damaged. And neither does the coin. My question is:

Since you took the coin and the baggie of nickels...Did you leave any trade goods?

Despite your implication, I do not keep any trade goods personally and intend to recirculate the coins. I offered to return the coins to Allen in another post and had no reply.

It's not an implication it is a question with the intention of reminding you of one of the basic rules of caching.
It being that if you take something, you leave something. It doesn't say "Well you don't have to if you recirculate the trade goods."

Hey, If I missed that section please except my apologies.

I know this thread is old but since Im kinda new to the Cache scene, I thought I would throw a few posts out. I had picked up a few of these and plan on collecting them as well. I was glad to see I had a 2004 Ricky as well as several others mostly 2003's. I hope to get more soon Sneaky

Annie Nickels are probably a little hard to come these days. She hasn't been doing much cachin' as of late...

I hear she hopes to be changing that soon.

I got some 2008's ready to go, but still have some 2007's I have to get rid of, so you'll never know which is in a cache.

Nah, you're confused. The coin is a rumor. The nickel is a fact.
